amplified is a rock band from Hong Kong. They were discovered through a Sony Music audition, in which unsigned bands could send their demo tapes to Sony Music Japan's Sound Development section where they were evaluated. Out of around 1,000 candidates, amplified was the only band chosen to continue with the audition and eventually sign a deal with DefSTAR Records.

The band currently attends St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire.
