Warai is Sasagawa Miwa's first major single (though her fourth in total), as she debuted under Avex. The song is a rearrangement of the same song that Sasagawa released on her Kinmokusei / Warai single. The B-side, Negai Goto (Solo Performance Version) (願いごと; Desired Things), was originally track #1 of Sasagawa's first indies single, Himawari (and is the same version). This version of Warai would later be released in a post-album double A-side single, Kinmokusei / Warai (and in fact shares the same cover). This single reached #49 on Oricon charts and charted for 12 weeks.
