Information

"WANT ME, WANT ME" is the 27th single released by Amuro Namie. The single was released in two different formats: a CD+DVD version which only had the title track and its instrumental and a CD Only vesion which came with a b-side and instrumental. The single reached #2 on Oricon chart and stayed on the chart for a total of ten weeks. During its first week the single sold 48,106 copies, and has since sold a total of 103,000 copies, making it the #100 single of 2005. It is Amuro's highest ranking single since 2001's "Say the word".

The song has been described as a blend of bhangra (Indian dance music) and Reggae music. The song uses a sitar sample, that is looped throughout the majority of the song. Amuro has recieved much criticism for the song because of sexually provocative lyrics (much like Koda Kumi's work). The song was banned in Korea.

The single has been certified gold for shipments of over 100,000 by the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
