Utabaka is Hirai Ken's first best collection, released as a 10th anniversary collection. This is a compilation of all Hirai Ken singles, to celebrate his 10th year of musical career. This album was released in two different editions; a 2CD+DVD first press edition (with a total of 120 minutes of Hirai's music videos) and a standard version. The DVD of the first press version contains the PVs from all the singles included on the two CDs. This album reached #1 on Oricon charts, selling almost 1,000,000 copies in its first week. This album became the #1 selling album of the 2006 Oricon year (with a margin of 300,000 copies away from the nearest competitor).
