THE END is Nakashima Mika's fourth original album (and her fifth album total). This album is released under the name "NANA starring MIKA NAKASHIMA," as the songs on this album all relate to Nakashima playing the role of the punk-rocker Oosaki Nana in NANA. The two NANA tie-up singles of Nakashima's are featured on this album (but none of her other recent works, which were released on the album YES in March 2007). The track MY WAY is a cover of the Sid Vicious version of the song My Way, made popular by Frank Sinatra. THE END sold a total of 181,571 copies, making it #65 on the Oricon yearly album chart for 2007.
