When Tatsurou was small, he was trouble and mischief-maker. He's a talented in drawing and this talent is shown with the comics he has drawn for MUCC, which were relased on their beatsuffle shows. In his school times, he dreamed of becoming a hair beauty artist, just like his mother and father. Both of his older brothers influenced his musical tastes by playing for Tatsurou bands such as The Blue Hearts. Some of these bands still are his favorites.

His first performance was in the school Cultural festival with SATOchi as a drummer. He also receieved 'HAPPY-NEW-YEAR-CARD' from SATOchi right after the performance and decided to become a vocalist. He met Miya a concert and YUKKE later. In 1997, the four of them formed MUCC.

Tatsurou's voice is incredibly versatile. He can sing so painfully with lots of emotion, but also bring a soft sound to songs. Tatsurou can also scream brutally and growl. Even if he changes his voice, you can always hear when this man is singing. He also had vocal training as student.

Together with Miya, Tatsurou writes all MUCC's lyrics.

Tatsurou also had a side project, BLUCK-TLICK, which was a session-cover band for BUCK-TICK. It's members are/were Yuu (Merry), aie (deadman), Lay (ex-Fatima), Tsuyoshi (ex-Kalimero).

Tatsurou is good friends with Daisuke (Kagerou), Gara (Merry), and Miyavi.
