Talk:The Super Dimension Fortress Macross

Title Change
As the other anime articles appear to using the formal Japanese title (ie: Bishoujou Senshi Sailor Moon and Shin Seiki Evangelion), I'm moving this page to the appropriate title. --Ncc1701 21:20, 12 June 2006 (JST)
Okay, nevermind. I'll change it back to its official title of 'Super Dimension Fortress Macross'. --Ncc1701 21:49, 12 June 2006 (JST)
The Original Space Opera?
I take issue with the article saying that Macross was the original space opera. By the time Macross appeared on the scene, it was already well behind other series such as Kidou Senshi Gundam (1979), and Matsumoto's Uchuu Senkan Yamato (1979) and Uchuu Kaizou Captain Harlock (1978). I'll also mention Ginga Eiyu Densetsu (1989) as it was in manga form before Macross aired. Macross had no manga pre-dating it, as it was intended to be a parody of Gundam and Giant Robo (1967) [according to Egan Loo]. Anyway, I wanted to document any changes I make to this article. --Ncc1701 21:20, 12 June 2006 (JST)
