Translation of "Taiyou no Uta"
I considered putting the translation of "Taiyou no Uta" as "A Song to the Sun" since that's what the preferred English title for the drama is, but it's a subjective translation. Should it be kept as "The Sun's Song" or changed to "A Song to the Sun"? Soulsteelgray 09:27, 13 September 2006 (JST)

- I said that it was a subjective translation. In that vein, it's like "A Song to the Sun" is trying to convey what "Taiyou no Uta" would to a native Japanese speaker even though it uses the possessive particle. Soulsteelgray 08:57, 14 September 2006 (JST)
- I personally would have it "Song of the Sun" but, that's just me. :| I'm leaning towards ignoring the title correspondance with the drama, even though that is the prefferred title because even though they are connected they are intrinsically two different works. That and it just sounds better for the theme song of the drama "A Song to the Sun" to be "Song of the Sun" or something. Differentiation. --zeli 09:48, 14 September 2006 (JST)
