Soba ni Iru ne is Aoyama Thelma's second single, and is an answer song to her popular collaboration with SoulJa, Koko ni Iru yo. It features a very similar arrangement and the same chorus as Koko ni Iru yo, though a lot less vocal involvement from SoulJa. It was originally planned to be released on January 30, 2008, however due to high demand was put forward a week. Soba ni Iru ne was used as the NTT Docomo CM song, and the B-side My dear friend was used as the Fuji Terebi anime Shion no Ou's ending theme song, as well as the Terebi Tokyo show Ryuuha-R's opening theme song.
