Sakura is the 12th single released by Kobukuro. It reached #3 on the Oricon charts and charted for 62 weeks. Because it sold 161,031 units in 2005, it became the #61 single of the year. Also this single sold 263,003 copies in 2006, making it the #30 single of that year as well. In total has sold 434,389 copies.

Information

Sakura (Spring Package) is the re-released edition of the single Sakura. It was released as CD+DVD edition only and the first press comes with Kobuchi Kentarou's handwritten lyrics of the title track. The cover for this edition is slightly different from the regular edition of Sakura single, with the cherry blossoms bloomed.

Sakura was the first Kobukuro original song. It was first released on Kobukuro's second indie album, Root of my mind, on 2000. Five years later it was re-recorded and re-released as a single. It was used as the dorama Ns' Aoi theme song.
