Saki (Galsa)

Saki is a character on the Japanese dorama Gal Circle. Played by Toda Erika, she is a 16-year-old member of the Shirogumi, or the White Group of the gal circle Angel Hearts.

Saki's real name is Hirose Sakiko. She is a high school drop-out and isn't welcome at home; the Angel Hearts is the one place she is able to feel accepted, even if she is a very low ranking member. Saki, along with best friends Shizuka and Sumire, are often given menial tasks to do by upper members of the group, such as getting them water after dances. Saki is also a poor dancer and never has any money. Despite all this, Saki's dream is to rank higher in Angel Hearts and one day dance in the center of the stage for everyone to see.

Saki is easily riled up. In the first episode, she gets into a fight with Yurika after Shizuka spills water on the higher-ranking, yet shorter gal. Saki always insults Yurika about her height, as she is less than five feet tall. She is also easily influenced by her peers. In the first episode when Shizuka is being bullied, she bullies her along with everybody else.

Even though she doesn't understand Shinnosuke's naivety and masks it with annoyance, she eventually becomes his friend and helps him look for Imoko. Saki also helps other girls throughout the series; when Rika is accused of stealing a large amount of money, Saki is the only one who believes and defends her. She also fights to keep Yurika in the group during episode 4.
