Information

rose is Tsuchiya Anna's third single, and was used as the opening theme song to the anime NANA. The song was inspired by the rock band BLACK STONES that features in the series. The single was released on the same day as OLIVIA inspi' REIRA (TRAPNEST)'s single a little pain, which was used as the ending theme song of the same anime. As well as this, the song Lovin' you is used as the theme song to the Japanese release of the movie Silent Hill. The first press of the CD+DVD version of the single includes a logo sticker, while the first press of the CD only version includes a double jacket sticker. The version of Ah Ah that appears on this single is the same the one that appears on Taste My Beat. As the single sold 53,988 copies in 2006, it became the #165 single of the year.

There are two other versions of rose; an acoustic version featured in the "11.5" episode of the NANA anime, as well as a live re-recorded vocal version. It is unknown at this time if these versions will be released.

This is Anna's third solo song to feature Japanese lyrics. The lyrics of rose also refer back to other Anna songs. For example, the line "Kogoeru bara no you ni" translates to "I'm like a frozen rose" (FROZEN ROSE being a track on Taste My Beat). Also, the lyric "Kodoku na little girl" was used before in Anna's song MY LULLABY, also a track on Taste My Beat.
