History
ROMANS was formed in August of 2003 and consisted of Morning Musume's Yaguchi Mari and Ishikawa Rika, Coconuts Musume's Ayaka, Country Musume's Satoda Mai, and Melon Kinenbi's Saito Hitomi. The group was based on the Hello! Project TV show Sexy Onna Jyuku and had a more mature and sexy theme.
Like 7AIR before it, ROMANS was an R&B-influenced group and had singing and rapping sections. Yaguchi, Ishikawa, and Satoda provided the singing vocals, while Ayaka and Saito did the rapping.
ROMANS only released one single before becoming inactive. Although inactive since 2003, the members of the group performed "SEXY NIGHT ~Wasurerarenai Kare~" during the Hello! Project 2008 Winter ~Kashimashi Elder Club~ concert.
