Queen of Hip-Pop is Amuro Namie's sixth album, released one and a half years after STYLE. This album is considered Namie's comeback album, as it sold twice as many units as STYLE (in a market that's slowing down). The First Press of Queen of Hip-Pop came with an exclusive "Pink Panther & Girl Pink Panther 'NAMIE Version' Sticker", as well as an illustration with word paper.
After approximately a minute of silence after the last track, No, is played, a secret acoustic version (No pt. 2) is played. Suprisingly, the song the SPEED STAR does not appear on this album, despite it being one of the two A-sides on the GIRL TALK / the SPEED STAR single (and GIRL TALK appearing on here).
This album reached #2 on Oricon charts and charted for 22 weeks. Because it sold 475,600 units, it became the #27 album of 2005.
