Park Gyuri is known as being the leader of the Korean girl group, KARA. Before debuting in the music industry, she was a child actress. At the age of seven, Gyuri landed a role in the drama, "Today is a Nice Day"("Oneul-eun Cho-eun Nal"). She played a girl named Sonagi and she played Podogi's girlfriend. After debut, she was also in a commercial for Lotte Chilsung with Lee Jun Ki, though she was in the background. Park Gyuri keeps KARA's spirits up all the time with her jokes and laughter. Since Sung Hee's departure, it would seem that her leadership will be needed most.

Park Gyuri's ethnic background is in question, as many speculate that she is a Korean mix, like former Isak N Jiyeon member, Isak, because of her looks. Her looks aren't that of a full-blooded Korean.
