Biography

Onnine Ibalgwan(언니네이발관, Sister's Barbershop) is a Korean modern rock group that formed in 1994. That same year, the band had two songs from their demo ("Roland Gorilla," and "Funny Afternoon") played on the KBS radio program "Jeon Yeonghyeok's World Of Music Demo Introduction."

From 1994 to 1996 the band continued to play in small clubs in Seoul, finally releasing their first album, 비둘기는 하늘의 쥐 in 1996. The album was in many critics' lists of top ten albums for 1996.

The following year the band contributed a cover of the Nirvana song, "Come As You Are" to the Nirvana tribute album Smells Like Nirvana.

In 1998, the band released their second full length album, 후일담. This album proved to be quite popular as well, becoming the number one seller at the Shin Nara record chain in South Korea, as well as making it into the Good Records Top Ten List (좋은 음판 10선 랭크).

In 1999, the band released several songs, one on the compilation Indie Power 1999, one on the compilation Open The Door, and one on the OST for the film Jilju.

The band changed record labels in 2001, moving to the label, CUJO Entertainment which at the time was home to bands such as No Brain and Punk Killer. The following year they released their third album, 꿈의 팝송. Again the album proved to be a critical success. Each and every music webzine dubbed the album, "Album of the Year."

The band followed up this album in 2004, releasing 순간을 믿어요.
