Murmurs is the first album released by Caroline, released four months after the official release of her first single, Where's My Love (which is also included on the album). Throughout the entire album, no audio samples were used; as all the sounds that are included on the album were recorded live. If the album was preordered from the Temporary Residence website, it would be shipped before the official release date. The photography for the album was taken in Tokyo by Caroline and her sister; who also make most of the drawings and collages featured in the art.
