History

Murakami Megumi joined Hello! Project as one of the fifteen Hello! Project Kids. In 2003, she was a member of the one-shot unit ZYX and released two singles with the group before it became inactive.

Murakami was one of the seven Hello! Project Kids who weren't placed in Berryz Koubou. In 2005, those seven members would form °C-ute. She was often the lead vocalist and center position in °C-ute's Indies singles. On October 31, 2006, she suddenly resigned from °C-ute and from Hello! Project without a graduation ceremony, the official reason stated that she wanted to continue her education and lead a private life.

Trivia

Was once noticed as one the best actress within the Hello! Project Kids, along with Tsugunaga Momoko.
Was close friends with Natsuyaki Miyabi and Umeda Erika. She also once considered Natsuyaki as her rival as well.
Rivaled Yajima Maimi in athletic ability. Usually placed 2nd to Yajima's 1st in racing events at annual sports festivals. She also stated that Yajima was her rival in Futsal ability.
She is close friends with former Hello! Pro Egg Mutou Mika. Mutou has been the only person so far who stated that she keeps in touch with Murakami after her departure from Hello! Project. Incidentally, Mutou left Hello! Project in 2008 without any previous notice, resembling Murakami's departure.
Her dream to work alongside a famous dorama actress was realized in 2003, when she worked alongside Kato Noriko in Little Hospital.
