Plot
In 2004, Chiyono is a middle school student with lots of regrets she has no control over. Her family has moved to the abandoned Inuzuka Mansion, and Chiyono has made it her mission not to ever have to go back to their hometown.
In 1974, Mineko is the youngest daughter of a strict father who believes she won't ever amount to anything. Mineko has this feeling of uselessness amplified by the fact that her eldest sister is a beauty, getting married soon, and her middle sister is more intelligent than she'll ever be. In an attempt to do something right, she starts a folk band, and finds a place to practice in the old Inuzuka Mansion.
In 1949, Hinako is a orphan whose entire family has died during the air raids. Luckily, she becomes a maid for the Inuzuka family, who kindly send her to school in exchange for her services, but even behind her cheery smile and positive semblant, Hinako can't help but feel sad.
The Inuzuka Mansion has a tragic secret. In three different ages of Japan's history, three different girls will uncover this secret, and somehow, together, solve the problem that this secret poses.
