Information
MELOCURE main activities were centered on anime theme/insert songs, releasing three original singles and an album in 2004. This album contained several songs used as anime themes including "Itoshii Kakera", "Meguriai" (UFO Princess Valkyrie), "1st Priority" or "Himawari" (Stratos 4).
Two months after the release of the album, on May 5 2004, at the age of 44, Ritsuko suddenly passed away of septic shock as a result of septicemia.
On September 2004 it was revealed the existence of a new song, Home & Away. In July 2005, Hinata Megumi under MELOCURE stage name released the song as part of the single Okusama wa Maho Shojo Shudaika. For this release Megumi re-recorded the song and Ritsuko vocals were left for the chorus.
In 2005 Megumi stated on a press conference, and later in 2006 through her internet radio program, that she will continue singing MELOCURE's songs at her live shows for Ritsuko's memory.
