Matsumoto Tak is the lead guitarist of the Japanese Rock band, B'z. In addition to providing the guitars for the band, he also writes all the musics. Formed the band in 1988 with vocalist and songwriter Inaba Koshi.
Tak released his first solo album Thousand Wave before debuting as B'z in 1988. He does a lot of solo projects beside B'z activity. One of the recent big projects is the TMG (Tak Matsumoto Group), which he formed with a group of American Rock-oldies, as Eric Martin, Jack Blades or Chris Frazier. Their album, TMG I was released in America and also in several European countries.
Matsumoto and fellow B'z member Inaba Koshi appeared on the final track of American guitarist Steve Vai's 1999 album The Ultra Zone.
