Matenrou Opera (摩天楼オペラ) is a japanese Visual Kei band formed in 2006 by Sono, known as vocalist of Jeniva. When Jeniva disbanded their drummer Yu joined the band.

Information
Matenrou Opera first started their activities in May 2007 with a live at Urawa Narciss where they also sold their first single called alkaloid showcase. After they performed on verious events Matenrou Opera announced in October Mika and Karen would leave the band. But already in December they found Anzi and Ayame who replaced them and they joined KAMIJO's label Sherow Artist Society and in Febuary Rock Identity (German record label).
In March 2008 their second single "Ruriiro de egaku niji" came out and they supported Versailles on their EU-Tour.
Soon after they came back to Japan they announced their first Nationwide Tour called GILIA TOUR -Subliminal Parade of Opera-.
