Information

In 2000, Jiyeon auditioned for SM Entertainment through the Starlight Casting System. Singing S.E.S's "Shalala" and Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle" and dancing, her vocal talent and charismatic performance helped her to stand out, and she went on to win the audition.

In 2002, she debuted in the first female duo from SM Entertainment: Isak N Jiyeon. Unfortuntely, during this time period, many of SM's artists were not promoted well and the group only met with moderate success. While Isak started to fade from the spotlight, Jiyeon did some music video work and maintained a steady presence in SM Town's seasonal albums. In the last album, 2004 Summer Vacation in SMTOWN.com, Jiyeon participated in a song alongside solist Dana and the then-newcomers Sunday and Stephanie. This same foursome would go on to become the group Chun Sang Ji Hee.

In 2005, Jiyeon re-debuted with Chun Sang Ji Hee using her new stage name of Lina. In order to contribute to the group's international goals, Lina is currently studying Chinese.

Besides being a part of Chun Sang Ji Hee, she is known for her role as a fashion model for various fashion labels. Late February 2008, she participated in the KOBE COLLECTION 2008 SPRING/SUMMER event as a model.
