Hitomi wo Tojite is Hirai Ken's 20th single. The title track was used as the theme song of the movie Sekai no Chuushin de Ai wo Sakebu, while the B-side, a cover of the Eagles' song Desperado was used as the Kirin Lager Beer CM song. The single reached #2 on Oricon charts and charted for 59 weeks. As this single sold 834,448 copies in 2004 it was the number 1 single of the year. The single would sell a grand total of 893,134 copies. This is currently Hirai's most sold single.
