Himawari is Sasagawa Miwa's debut single, under the indies label PAINT BOX. Much like Miwa's first MosBurger song, the single was arranged by U-ZO (except for track one, which was recorded live, and track #4 which was remixed by Wono Satoru). In October 2005, the single was re-released with a new version under avex (as her 6th major single and 9th total single). The song was used as the Gan Support Campaign theme song (which was in fact boradcast from April that year onwards). The 2005 single reached #144 on Oricon charts and charted for one week.
