Hey My Friend is Tommy heavenly⁶'s second single (Kawase Tomoko's 8th solo single). It was released in two versions: a first press version with a separate cover and a digipak, as well as a regular version. "Hey my friend" was used as the theme song to the Fukada Kyoko/Tsuchiya Anna-starring film Shimotsuma Monogatari, while the B-side Roller coaster ride→ was used as the opening song for the same movie. This single reached #20 on Oricon charts and stayed on the charts for 9 weeks, selling a total of 40,000 units.
