HEART STATION is a song released by Utada Hikaru. It has been described as "Pop, blossoming with a sharpened sense of expression," with the "STATION" being a lyrical reference to frequencies of the heart(Can You Hear Me?/I Can Hear You). It was used as the 2008 Recochoku CM song (aired from January onwards), starring Utada herself dancing in a bear suit. The commercial campaign was dubbed PON PON Kumachan, a reference to the bear she blogs about and who was featured in the song Boku wa Kuma.
The bear suit that Utada wears in the commercial was first displayed on Utada's blog on the 20th of November titled Shukkin (出勤; Coming to Work), which showed her in the bear suit walking around in the EMI offices and eventually sitting down at a desk. She described in another blog entry that she had the suit made for her own enjoyment, and it had finally been finished in October.
Music Video
The music video was directed by Muto Masashi (武藤真志). It features Utada waiting on the subway while she is surrounded by black 'shadows' of people that do not move.
