Hashida Mirei was a member of the Hello! Project as a Hello! Pro Egg who graduated in June 2007.
In March and April 2008, she won two consecutive first places in the "singer section" of tobiLabo, an audition sponsored by Sony Music Entertainment. In May 2008, she won third place in the "live section" of the same audition.
