GLAMOROUS SKY is Nakashima Mika's 16th single, released under the name of NANA starring MIKA NAKASHIMA. This song was used as one of the image songs for the movie NANA (as one of the band Black Stones' songs). HYDE, of L'Arc~en~Ciel, composed GLAMOROUS SKY, while Yazawa Ai wrote the lyrics. The B-sides, BLOOD & ISOLATION, were both used as Kanebo KATE CM songs. Nakashima Mika graces the cover of the single as Oosaki Nana. This single reached #1 on the Oricon Singles Chart for two weeks - something that only rarely happens on said chart - before being knocked off by Hamasaki Ayumi's HEAVEN. It also charted for 16 weeks. It should be noted that this single was Nakashima Mika's first and only #1 single so far, and her most successful single since STARS. By the end of 2005, GLAMOROUS SKY had sold 423,593 units, making it the #10 single of 2005. This position is the highest ranked position to be gained by a female artist in the end-of-year charts of 2005. By Mar 2006, GLAMOROUS SKY had sold 443,761 units. Total sales add up to 444,067 for this single.
