- Information
Gedo Senki Original Soundtrack is the soundtrack to the Ghibli movie Gedo Senki, which was composed mostly by Terashima Tamiya. Interestingly, the album was released as a CD/SACD hybrid, allowing for both the album to be played in a regular CD player as a regular album as well as in a SACD player, allowing for the better quality soundtrack to be heard. The soundtrack presents a varied classical/folk sound. It was released on the same day as Teshima Aoi's debut album Gedo Senki Kashuu, who also features on this album. Tracks 3-6,8-10,14,15,16,21 feature Spanish gaita player, Carlos Núñez. The soundtrack also came with numerous first press bonuses. These were:
- A Gedo Senki original "Pursecase" featuring either a Therru, Arren or Ged design, chosen at random.
- A special public presentation D-PACK present.
- A ticket for entry into the draw to win one of 300 Gedo Senki D-Pack (only if the entree had the first press ticket that came with the Gedo Senki Kashuu as well)
The soundtrack reached #41 on Oricon charts, and charted for only one week.
