GReeeeN

In 2002, GReeeN was formed by HIDE and navi, with the support of HIDE's elder brother JIN, a member of Pay money To my Pain. Later in 2004, they were joined by 92 and SOH, and the group was later renamed GReeeeN. They released a couple of independent singles, and in February 2006 released their self-produced debut album GReeeeN.

Universal Music signed GReeeeN a contract, and in early 2007 released their debut single Michi, which was used as CDTV's opening theme song for January 2007 and TBS quiz show Sekai Fushigi Hakken. They released their 2nd single 2 months later, HIGH G.K LOW ~Hajikero~, which was then used as a support song for Coca-Cola's CM.

A big break came to GReeeeN when they released their 3rd single Ai Uta, which debuted at #8 on the Oricon charts and in its 6th week ranked at #2 on the weekly charts. A month later, they released their debut album, A, Domo. Hajimemashite.. The album included several tie-ups, which made it rank #2 for 3 weeks on the Oricon weekly charts.

In late 2007, they released their 4th single, Hito, which was used as a support song for their label's CM. Two months later, they released their 5th single, BE FREE, which was used as the theme song for Negative Happy Chainsaw Edge. In March 2008 they released their 6th single, Tabidachi.

The group's talent became more recognized when they released their 7th Kiseki, which was used as the dorama ROOKIES's theme song. The single not only managed to rank #1 for 2 weeks, it also sold 186,097 copies in its 1st week. It outsold in 2 weeks the total sales of their 3rd single Ai Uta.

The group is due to release their 2nd album, A, Domo. Ohisashiburi Desu. in June 2008.
