Fujisawa Tooru (藤沢とおる) is a manga-ka who draws for Weekly Shounen Magazine. Among his more famous works are Great Teacher Onizuka, Shonen Jun'ai Gumi and Bad Company. All of these manga revolve around the life of one Onizuka Eikichi, a biker gangmember, and are always very comical and lighthearted. Great Teacher Onizuka, the story about Onizuka becoming a school teacher so he can look at young girls in short skirts all the time, became such a hit that not only an anime has been made, but even a live action adaptation, which was hugely succesfull and paved the way for many other manga to live action conversions.

Recently, Fujisawa has been putting more serious horror and suspense elements into his stories, such as Rose Hip Rose and Tokko, of which the latter is currently still being published.
