History
Chelsea joined Hello! Project as one of the original members of Coconuts Musume. She was the lead vocalist on the group's first two singles. Chelsea (and April) graduated from Hello! Project in January 2000, the official reason stating that she wanted to finish her high school education and pursue a modeling career.
She has since graduated with honors from the University of California Santa Barbara with a degree in psychology and business economics. While attending school, she has also managed a successful career as a model and even made an appearance on a reality television show called "Meet My Folks" that aired on NBC, and in 2006 Chelsea was featured in a Taco Bell commercial for Hawaii.
