C-Pop

C-Pop is a coloquial term for Chinese pop music. The term adheres to the format of similar terms and J-Pop by taking the first letter of the country of origin along with a clarification as to genre. Whereas other genres such as J-Rock and are often referred to, however, in casual use C-Pop tends to become a catch-all term for all Chinese music not obviously of the C-Rock genre.
Some of the most popular acts include Twins, Nicholas Tse and Faye Wong.
