"Be Ambitious" is the indies mini-album released by JUDY AND MARY. It was originally released in 1992 on Chain Saw Records. This album was recorded before Asanuma Takuya had joined the band, and the guitars were credited to Alph. The intial release of the album failed to chart on the Oricon.
Five of the tracks were later re-recorded for their major label debut, "J・A・M" with TAKUYA on the guitar. The songs were "POWER OF LOVE" and "BLUE TEARS" (which were both used as singles), "GLAMOUR PUNKS" (with YUKI singing instead of Onda) and "JUDY IS A PUNK ROCKER" (which was re-titled "JUDY IS A T∀NK GIRL").
On September 9th 2001, the album was released together with the band's indie video, "It's A Gaudy It's A Gross". This CD+DVD re-release, reached #19 on the Oricon chart and stayed on the chart for a total of two weeks. This album ended up selling a rounded total of 11,000 copies.
